MoPar City Junkyard Tour
« on: September 11, 2011 - 08:33:07 PM »
Mopar City in Oregon, IL allowed a small bunch of people to come into their yard and view their vast collection of Mopars.  I had been to the yard, but never in it.  And I have never heard of anyone recently be able to walk through it so openly.  Take a look at all the pictures!

I have no idea on prices, I was just there for the pictures.

So what is this place?  Museum?  Do they sell their parts?  Just collect stuff?  :clueless:

wow, that was really interesting looking at these pictures, i went in that yard in 1987,lol. i bought some brown 1970 cuda fenders, and whats interesting about the pictures, i think the short guy with the blue tank top is my uncles friend john, he owns a 1958 dodge. I am about positive its him in the pictures, i just saw him today at a car show in rockton,il.

Their website

Anyone familiar with their machinework capabilities (and quality)?  I haven't lined up a shop to do the engine machine work I need yet, but hope to do so over the next few months.

They sell anything and everything. I've bought several parts form them over the years. Prices aren't raging bargains, but they aren't rip off artists either.

This wasn't a big "find" or required any sort of work.  It is a fairly well known Mopar yard.  I was just lucky enough to get a spot on the list to get in the tour group.

Yep, Love to have a walk through sometime. Although, I've never been in any junkyard that had those type intakes just simply hangin' from the shelves...
