Sticky Brakes

After redoing the brakes (factory power front disk, drum rear), they are very sticky at slow speed, low peddle force.  On the other hand, if I get on them hard, they seem okay.  Makes it unpleasant to drive in stop and go traffic. :violin:

Fresh rotors, and pads up front, fresh drums and shoes in the back

I just replaced the metering valve with a reproduction from In-Line Tube.  I'm thinking it might have something to do with that, but I'm not sure.

Somehow, I think this is going to cost money .....                                          :money:

Pulled the wheels off to examine the disks and pads.   :working:  Everything looks okay.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Did you grease the pins when you put the new pads in?

I placed a thin layer of never-seize on all the sliding surfaces.  I tried to make sure that I didn't get so much on that it would slop on to the rotor or otherwise contaminate the surfaces.

Think I need more lube, or something better than never-seize?

I used disk brake grease, it's pretty slippery. 

Have someone step on the brakes and watch to see if they release easily.

if the calipers or mounts have notches wron into them the pads can stick .I have had master cylinders repaired wrong & had the pistons hang in the bore as well , make sure the pedal pivots are greased also.

I didn't know Inline Tube got their prop valves fixed.  They had an issue with the internal parts not being machined correctly.   Take the suggestions that have already been posted.  If all of that is OK, try the original prop valve and see if your problem goes away.

never seize or anti seize is common to use on brakes .both the lube anti seize dont last very long any after many heat  cycles . do you have the return springs installed on the calipers ?
is the pedal free play too close . i know some are adjustible but i only know about the aftermarket.  do you have larger tires on the rear and small tires on the front ? if you do a adjustible prop valve has to be installed in the rear to tame the tires.

What about Calipers and brake hoses in the front? I've seen these give HUGE problems if let sit for any real time...
