Removing stripe decals?
« on: September 13, 2011 - 01:09:00 PM »
I am starting to look for a new Challenger for myself and saving up the down-payment to ensure a lower monthly payment.  I really want an all white Vanishing Point car and the local dealer has 2 white Challengers, except that they both have identical black skunk-stripe decals.

Is it possible to have the stripes professionally removed and if so, does it leave a ghost-image in the paint?

anyone try this yet?

The dealer should take them off for you

Yeah, they remove easily as long as they haven't been baked on for years.

All you need to do is set it out in the sun for a couple hours and when they get worm just start pealing.

We take decals off all the time. You can use a hair dryer and they peel off no problem.

To bad they didn't make magnetic stripes so that you could change them from time to time, maybe someone should think about making something like this with a very strong hold. Just an idea.
