Except in cases where the negs are missing, yes.

I wonder if Dirty Mary Crazy Larry will make it to Blu Ray? The DVD version is very clear.

I just picked up vanishing point on blu ray too!  :woohoo:  I had it on VHS but the machine broke so I can play it anymore!

Just ordered. My wife picked up Bullitt for me on DVD a couple of weeks ago.

I just bought Vanishing point on Blu Ray and watched it on my 1080p hi def T.V. and can not believe the quality. The detail is so incredible. You can clearly see the 440 magnum on the hood. I have no ide how they took an old movie and made it so clear. I  hope they release Dirty Mary Crazy Larry on Blu Ray.

 
     If they use a digital  process, to copy the negatives it's better than a digital original, due to no pixelation, and the  software determines the resolution separately for multitude of field depths.  (i made that up  :thinkerg:BS. the other kind)
