Hey Cuda Hunter, any chance you'd be able to help me out some more?

I had to cut off the RH motor mount bracket as it was too buckled to bend back into position.
I have everything clean and ready to weld, but it just doesn't seem to be fitting right.
I made a simple jig to keep the distance between the holes in the motor mounts correct, to simplify matters,
but when I set it up so the top point of the mount matches the 3 and 9/16" measurement it seems really high.
The parts where I've cut don't match back up at all, when you'd think they should...

So, fearing a more bent K member than I had anticipated, I'd love some more measurements if possible.
Basically as many as you can, I've made some reference images of what I think would help,
but please feel free to add any that you think would make the job of sorting out this damn K member easier.

A photo of your K member from the same angle as the photo above would be great.
Are the two holes level on yours?

A series of square-on photos would be great: top, side, front and rear etc.

I'll hook you up with free photochops for life if you can help me out!

Aaron,

I would be glad to help you out.  As long as you don't mind waiting until tomorrow after work.

I'll get each measurement you have asked for and then a few more.

Then I will post them here so more than you and I can use and enjoy.

Top of hole to top of hole.  The first two pictures are not center to center.

These are a little fuzzy.  Let me know if you can't make them out.

I got a bad feeling here, but I hope you don't need this? ( it is for a Challenger) Do some measuring to make sure the car is not bent. I hope not but... how would the k-frame be that bent without the frame rails, etc.... also being bent?

Cheers Josh!
A big thanks mate, I should be able to sort the K member out now.

Hey Brad, I'm pretty confident the K member isn't bent as far as the 4 corners go (and the corresponding points on the frame rails),
as the K member is square diagonally corner to corner and vertically from a level plane. I just want to double check everything to be sure.
The critical thing is getting the engine mount in the right place as it must be pretty important for locating the whole drivetrain.

I had the bent nose of the car fixed at a body shop on an autorobot frame jig.
They did a pretty good job, there is a slight discrepancy vertically side to side, but I can solve it.

Thanks for all the help guys. I'm looking forward to a square car at the end of this!
