Weird Exhaust Question (Theory)

Here's a weird question, something I've been thinking about for a while.

If you were to install some air funneling scoops toward the front of the car, and connect them to some small exhaust-pipe like tubes running toward the back of car, then spliced these into the regular exhaust pipes...would this more effectively scavenge the exhaust gasses?

Dunno, seems the exhaust pressure would overcome the air pressure....  However kinda on the same topic I was watching some racing/documentary show recently & they confirmed what I've heard years ago that many have PO-POed, that the exhaust can be to big causing the exhaust gases to loose velocity thus hurting the scavenge effect. These were Continental Tire Challenge BMWs, they were experimenting with and found better torque curves as well as a mite more HP with slightly smaller pipe, they were mainly working around the X-pipe on the show.

It just might work at speeds of 100 plus MPH...Exhaust is moving faster than the scoop can pull in air...Even if it worked, what little gain you saw would be eaten up by wind drag of the scoops.

Something close to that is actually what got me thinking along thee lines: how to use the exhaust itself to increase scavenging.

I wonder if a high velocity fan inline would do the trick.

Could well be. At the very least I can see how you'd potentially get to a point where you'd have to change the EVO and EVC timing.
