Out of the Ordinary - Truck Show
« on: September 25, 2011 - 03:50:49 PM »
My brother has a 61 Jeep pickup that our father bought the year I was born. In 1962 we loaded up everything we owned of any value into that truck and moved from WV to VA. He just finished a load of bodywork and paint, so this weekend, I went with him to a truck show to show it off a little.

Here he is with the Jeep, and another Jeep that showed up a little later.

This is really neat, something my brother pointed out to me. This old truck has 1) a second transmission in front of the rear for a multi-speed rear, and 2) chain drive from the axle to the hubs.

Pretty neato, Dave.  Looking at that rear chain drive reminds me of the old go karts/ mini bikes!
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Yeah, I'm a big guy

The Challenger was at my brother's place. It's been moved, which I might as well announce tonight.  :grinyes: A few weeks ago I pulled the motor and trans and sent the car to Tony Miller for some light body work and, most importantly, paint. I might as well start a thread.

Long story, but I had meant to get pics of the car being loaded, and I ended up being very busy with that process, then I got doused with gas, so little chance to pick up a camera  :grinno:  Thread started.
