I've posted elsewhere about my efforts tracking down the guy who makes steel TA scoops. Well, here it is

I don't mind at all. He's selling them for $1100. It's higher than the good quality fiberglass, but I really didn't want fiberglass on my car, and I still had my original flat hood.

Hot off the press, pics of the scoop lightly primered and set in place:

Domingo from Peru? I wanted a set of his rear window louvers SO badly. He has sold out and does not make them anymore. Nice build up of your car, it's getting done! Will be great to have peace of mind knowing it's done right.

Yep, Domingo from Peru. I didn't know that he was the guy who had been making the louvres. I know at one point Neil had done a group buy; maybe with another group buy he'd do a run of louvres.  :dunno:

Looking good, Dave!
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Are you going to blend the scoop and the hood together or leave it as it?

Tony is going to be contouring the scoop to the hood, yes.
