Rebuild Kit for a NON A/C Heater Box ....
« on: September 26, 2011 - 09:17:10 PM »
hey alll ....

I need to rebuild the entire heater box in my car.  The old foam seals have just evaproated from age .....   plus some prior owner / IDIOT put one of the doors (defrost I think) in backwards and it does not operate correctly.

Does any of our supporting vendours (or anyone...) make a kit that I can purchase.

I also need to repair the flap mechanism on the vent units bolted to the bottom of the upper dash./cowl..

Any help is always appreciated....

+1 for the DMT kit.  Don't forget to take lots of pics as it's being disassembled.

I used the DMT kit on mine.  I have lots of before and after pictures.  If you have any questions shoot me a PM.

I called James and ordered the rebuild kit, plus a bunch of other stuff I needed.   Figured I save shiping costs getting it all at once.

I was going to take pictures, but to be honest, there isn't very much of interest in the heater box.

It took me 10 minutes to take apart and from what I can tell from the "kit" pictures, it will take me maybe 20 minutes more to put back together.
Just need to put the foam in and reassemble.

Just an FYI ....

Kit came ,  100% dead right.  All foam and seals included, die cut and ready to go.

Roseville is a GREAT vendor
- will buy TONS of more stuff from them.

Thank you James for your help and for getting it out so quickly.
