It is not on the fireall it is on the heater box itself. I will post a pic for you. I have one handy since I am working on it right now!

The ring loop attaches to the metal pivot arm in the pick left of the motor plugs.

There are 3 clips needed for it be correct. All are very hard to find. I haven't seen them being reproduced.
One holds the cable onto the cowl edge, the other 2 are on the heater box top. One of them is missing in this picture.

76-78 Cordoba's had the same clips I recall.

If your car is A/C you have the heater control box in the engine compartment.
Non A/C is controlled inside the cabin.

ummmm, ok, I misworded my original question,  what i meant was where does the cable come through the f-wall from the switch/lever on the dash to the control valve?   Umm guess i should have proofread myself there before posting.
TC,  your pics a little grainy but i will grab those clips you found,

Doug,

If you look at my wiper motor, you see the cable running by it. It comes thru the firewall at the bottom right corner of where the master cylinder plate meets the firewall.

Cool,  thanks mike, and looking at my fw theres a hole punched there, thought maybe it was for a blank plug .  Going to the boat show in annap this week?  sailboat this week, power boats next.  Also,    can you refer any good machine shops in the area?  I got some heads that need a little touching up and not knowing any around, i really hate just pulling a name out of the phone book.

Doug,

I'm sorry but I can't help recommend someone to work on your heads.
