What are yall's opinions on 73 Roadrunners?
« on: October 02, 2011 - 03:24:03 PM »
Reason I ask is there is one for sale down the street. Looks pretty good from a quick lookover in the rain. Just a base 318.

I wouldn't turn one down if I had the room and the scratch.  They suffer from the iso-clamp ride system (new for 73!) but that can be easily remedied.  Still a great car.

The 73-74 are still attractive cars, but at the same time they are my least favorite of all the Road Runners.  Definitely prefer the 71-72 grill on that body style, and prefer the 68-69 and 70 body styles over the 71-74 body style.  But if the price is right and you have room for it, a 73 can still make for a good car...

It would be cool to do a NASCAR style build on one. Complete with windshield tabs and fat tires on steelies all around. Maybe do a #43 on the roof and window nets? It could be low budget and still turn out great!

Although not my favorite I`ve always liked `em and I`ve had a few `73-4 Satellites and a `74 rr painted `71 Green Go w/black stripes. It looked sharp and was a really nice driving car even though it only had the 318.

I'm not much of a fan of those style of mopars, but i've seen a few that do look pretty dang good with a few things done to them. If it can be bought reasonable i say go for it

I love the 71-72 RR's but the 73's are cool too. I think it would be cool to have one I say go for it  :2thumbs:
