Shelby Dak transmission for my Cuda?
« on: October 07, 2011 - 08:00:30 AM »
I have an opportunity to buy a tranny from a Shelby Dak, worth it? I want to go OD, but read this is a complex tranny. As I understand it, it is a modded A500. Anyone know much about this tranny?

do some research but all I have read is they will not take much power , I had to rebuild one behind a 318 it had hurt the first one so we replaced it & had to rebuild it when the second one failed

Thanks CP, I tried to find really any info on this tranny. Not much out there except it seems it came with a higher stall than stock, it downshifted hard, not supposed to downshift till 2000 rpm, one site said it was quite complex. Just seeing if anyone else knew about this tranny. It also came with an external cooler. Maybe I'll PM tactransman, see if he knows anything about it.
