The motor is obviously different and the wiper linkages are also different.  I would assume you would need a new switch, but am not sure if the wiring is different.  I am working on the same conversion but havn't got into the meat of it.  So far I have just purchased the linkage from smsauto.  They can modify the standard two speed linkage to be a three speed and I don't think it is a hard thing to do.

Was there a variable speed wiper option? I bought a LH dash panel with switches from another car. The wiper switch in it seems to be a 2speed + variable unit? If this is so, what do I have to do to convert my 2-speed setup over?

You need a switch for a 3 speed or variable speed wiper, and i'm pretty sure the linkage changes between the 2 speed and 3 speed. I have a complete setup minus switch i might be willing to part with, includes a good working wiper motor that will need to be detailed. Pm me if you are intrested.
