Six Pack Air Filter
« on: October 16, 2011 - 10:32:05 AM »
Over the years, I purchased a couple six pack air filters from Herb's.  Just checked today, and Herb no longer shows the part on his website.

I checked Mancini and they are listed as out of stock.

Where can the Fram CA332 (or equivalant) six pack air filter be purchased?

Thanks!

I bought my air filter from O'Reilly's auto parts. Just checked it and you can buy one from any of their auto parts stores. $79.99.

Last I read on Moparts, they were on national backorder.  Not being made by Fram anymore.  At least the more correct looking version.

I assume you don't want the K&N version.

Thanks for the feedback.  I went to O'reilly's today and ordered one.

If you ordered the Fram, you will probably be disappointed.  Fram stopped making the repros and they aren't available any longer even though they may still show up in various parts vendors systems as available.  Best bet is ebay or getting lucky at a swap meet.
I had some money burning at hole in my pockets at the Mopar Nats a few years ago, and bought one before I left.  Now I wish I'd bought a bunch!

Just a suggestion. When you find the correct Fram filter put it on at the car show. When enjoying a nice cruise use the K&N. that way you can always have a clean one for show time.

The parts guy I talked to was sure he could get these filters to I ordered 2 air filters at O'Reilly's and had to prepay for them.  Came back a week later to find out they could not get any so received a refund.

I called Jamie at Mega Parts and he does not have on hand.  He said Fram will make them for you if you buy 1,000 from them at $50 each - Fram is only interested in selling big volume apparantly.

I'll keep looking around.

I am sorry I didn't see this thread earlier; I could have saved you some time and headaches.  I too was looking for a six-pac air cleaner.  I tried to find one for two months without luck, unless Fram decides to get off their butts and make us some. Until then you will have to go with K&N

There are none to be had at traditional retailers.  You may find one listed on E-Bay every once in a while.

Best of luck with your search, and if you fine two……let me know.

I know someone that is currently having them made. It might be a couple months before they're ready. Mancini's, O'reily's, Year-one etc. have all committed to order them when they're finished. Don't ask me who it is, I'll post it here when the time comes.

Are there any updates on this?

I remember stocking these on the shelves when I worked at a Dodge dealer back in 1976-80 area, and some guy buying 3 of them "so he would have them"... But that was a LONG time ago...
