I am Gumby. I am cranky.
« on: October 18, 2011 - 06:49:19 AM »
You wonderful people have kept me awake for far to many hours trying to digest the information that I seek! LOL. anyway, Hi, I'm Jeff. New owner of a 72 Challenger. I simply can't believe all the good info on this site. Looking forward to getting to know you all, as well as my car. Won it in a raffle where tickets were only $10 bucks each. Now I won't have any money to fix my 67 Coronet up, because I'm going to spend it all on my first love - the Challenger! lol. Wanted one of these since I was a little kid. Had Chargers, and a 68 Sport Satt. Vert (I wish I would have kept) But FINALLY have a Challenger! WOO HOO! By the way, HELLO ALL! :)
{oo/-------\oo} In '69 I was twenty-one and I called the road my own. I don't know when that road turned into the road I'm on. Jackson Browne

Thank You Super Blue 72 for the COOL avatar! I picked Gumby, because when I owned my 68 Sport Satellite 'vert, it was mist green with a green interior, and I had a 6 foot tall inflatable Gumby that I sometimes strapped in the passenger seat to cruise around Houston in when I lived there. LOL!

Nah, I bought 60 tickets. Was going to buy 72 tickets, since the car is a 72, but stopped short. The college told me that I bought more than any one individual. It's got a late model 360 - but carbed, a 727 with slapstick, and Rallye dash, 3.55 sure grip. SWEET! Although I have a 400 that I'm going to stroke out and a Gear Vendors to put into it. Stuff that I was going to put in my Coronet, but will soon find a new home. Appearance will be kept all stock as possible. After all, it's hard to beat what Mopar designers planned. (yeah, I know, plum crazy wasn't an option on 72 cars - that I could find anyway) Purple is my favorite color, and the Challenger is my favorite car. The stars and the planets aligned for this one! Oh, GranCuda 1970, took a few moments to get that staged photo. The VP of the college said "I bet you didn't think you would come here to pick up your car and expect to have to hold my hand all day"! lol. That's what we were both laughing about in the photo.  :ylsuper:

That is sweet a 400 will definately move her around a bit. I like the 360 motor and if I had another 360 car I would drop one of those crate 360;s from mopar performance stroked with a 6 pack you can buy nowadays. Nice car man! :2thumbs:
