    Looking at the Hemmings classifieds online came across this 1971 Cuda Custom. 

    Description: HEMI "Barrett-Cuda", 1 of 1 model built by Pure Power Motorsports for the Darrell Gwynn Foundation to commemorate Barrett-Jackson's 40th Anniversary. All proceeds to benefit the Darrell Gwynn Foundation. (That's a good cause).

    The car will be up for auction at the Barrett-Jackson auction, Scottsdale AZ, this January.  I don’t have the exact auction date, firewall at work denying access to site.  >:(

    Pretty cool looking.  I would rather see Torque Thrust Ds on it, a Tuff steering wheel and (if you're gonna do modern seats) a classic-looking stitch pattern.

    BJ site says they're custom Foose wheels. Likely one of a kind.

    He moved the “Gills” from the front fenders to front/lower qtr panels.  I think they look better on the fenders.

    Absolutely they look better on the fenders. I'm not one against modifications either.

    Regardless, it doesn't look bad IMO.

    One thing I haven't yet seen is someone taking the gills and integrating some LED turn signals on the top inside of the gills so they're effectively hidden but reflect orange light when you're turning.

    Looks kind of like they tried to incorporate some Yenko Craparo (oops) into it with the stripe.  I personally don't like it, but I guess these guys all feel like they need to try and one-up each other with the custom builds.  To each his own, but I'd pay more for a properly restored original than I would for any of the customs I've seen, except for maybe SilverFish.
