Mechanical oil pressure gauge

Looking at the clear plastic hose going from the back of the motor through the firewall into the dash I can see air gap. Is that normal? Or, do I need to bleed all the air from the system?

I've had several over the years . Always had air bubbles , never thought much about it though . I suppose since air will compress under pressure it could effect your reading till the air got compressed . Then the reading could change with RPM's but I have to think you're ok unless you have to be to the pound for some reason .

I have bled them out in the past only to have the bubbles return so don,t wast your time .
The way I figure it is even though the air will compress it will still have equal pressure on either side of the air bubble
