Don't have my book of codes, but going from memory here's what I see....

383 HP Motor
Auto Trans
R/T Challenger
Built in Hamtramck
Plum Crazy Purple without vinyl top
Built Dec 11 1969
Ralley Gauge
Console
Bucket Seats
other standard stuff like mirror, dual exhaust, bright tips, am/fm radio, hood tie downs and tach.

Hard to tell, but it look like the "68" stripe delete code.  Looking at the rust on the tag I would guess the rest of the car is in need a major resto.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Did you check yourself if it's numbers matching or the seller told you? If so you should check yourself. Whoops forgot he sent you the pic.  :banghead:
Also good idea to check that the the tag matches the vin, door, cowl, and rad support.

That's a good price for a 70 R/T. I hope the frame is solid.

Well here it is... frame rails are all good except for a small spot below where the battery was..

Do have a question though.. Why would this car have to fender antennas? One on both fenders in the factory looking location and factory antenna base?

 Possible Police car?
