    Body Dollies?

    Hey guys, I am ready to start on my 1970 Challenger pro-touring car (project will take a few years) and need some help. Currently the car is without the engine and transmission. I think my first step will be to remove the interior and trim also the K-member and rearend. Have the car media blasted and primed then start the mock up and modifications, complete body work and then paint and final reassembly. AM i on the right track for this biuld process? 

    Also in regard to this post does anyone have drawings/plans for making body dollies? Like these from US car tool. https://store.uscartool.com/Mopar-ABE-Body-Car-Moving-Body-Wheel-Set_p_18.html. My budget is very low right now due to the fact that My Dr. will not release me to go back to work (I shattered my left heel back in May and my job requires a lot of walking/hustle on uneven terrain).

    I have no experience with welding so I intend to contact a local high school shop class and see If they will make them for me if I buy the material.

    I hope to be starting a build thread soon  :jumping:

    Those will put stress on the body of you try to do body work with them in place.

    That good information, thank you. I do not have any body shop experience. I was thinking these would help in moving the car around my garage after I remove the K-member and the rear end. As a shell I could then load it on a trailer and take it to a body shop. I want the whole stripped down to the metal which I think a Rotisserie will be needed for that.

    Also i will have several parts that i will not be using, example  non-rallye guage cluster, Fiberglass T/A style hood and fenders, front seats, console, engine, trans and rear diff.

    I'm using the mopar body cart, made bt autotwirler, works like a dream, easy to move around, and simplifies working on my cuda. Just my opinion though. $300 for the cart

    Some scrap steel + some 8" solid wheels from harbor freight = Body wheels   . I think I have $60 in mine

    Chadb I have seen the cart from Autotwirler and it is nice, I may save up for that one.

    John you have made what I am currently looking to do, do you have any more detailed pictures?
