Need some idea's for B/RB valve covers?

Hey Brad, What i have been looking for for ever is a set of Big block valve covers that are the same as the wide small block valve covers that Mopar make for the small blocks. I like the rounded look of them over any other and i wanted a big block valve cover that the outside of the cover fits the outside edge of the gasket size. What if you got a set of the 440 source valve covers and cut the top off and made a rounded top like a smooth Mopar cover has ? And i reckon the recesses for the bolt on the side need to be filled in also, so a bolt can drop through a hole to make them that bit smoother again.

Hey Brad, These Edelbrock valve covers look cool too, you could do some cool stuff with them like remove the name only, or remove the fins and leave the name, or smooth the whole lot off.

Ya I like those Mopar valve covers too! , mind you I'm wondering with the STR intake will clearances be an issue?

I do not think clearance would be an issue but i can check my intake against my heads if you like, as i know you will not have access to yours until after Christmas.

I'm going to be using an old set of Cal Custom finned covers on mine.  I like the fact that there isn't any logos on them, just classic fins.  Mind you, I'm going for the 70's look so welded covers wouldn't be appropriate for a street car.

How about a set of Indy Cylinder valve covers with no logo.  They have a nice rounded top, and are strong enough with a machined bottom to mate up to your heads without much leakage.  Get them bare and paint them with the engine.  I am going for the stock look, but not too serious.

That's what I have now, brand new in the box. They are "OK" just don't make me to excited.

I bought a set of these off E-Bay . They have the extra clearance I was looking for with the roller rockers. I needed the extra clearance on the sides where the push rod adjusters would hit not the tops( tall). So the Indy ones are up for sale.
