I'm seriously considering doing a Shaker setup on my 73 Challenger at some point.
The theme of the car is building a Six Pack 73 that looks like what Chrysler would have built had emissions not neutered the E Body after 71. Plan would be to find a flat 73 hood and convert it. That way it would have the DODGE lettering, which flat-hooded Challengers had by this point. Works out well as I never cared for the tri-star emblem on 70-71s. :-)
As to the bubble, I've seen three different paint schemes: Body color, Organasol black and Argent Silver. My question is, what determined bubble color?
From what I can tell, the body-colored bubbles (which I've only seen in red) all happened in 70. After that, I've seen both black and silver on 70s and 71s.
What's the deal? Was it optional... or determined by car's color scheme? There doesn't seem to be any real pattern.
