Ballast resistor wiring with electronic ignition?

Thanks that orange wire on the lower left goes to the choke. It appears to be wired to the wrong side.

Okay, stupid question but Should I have a 5 pin ecu for the electronic ignition? What about that orange ecu I have seen? Is it better?

the older ECUs used the ballast to drop voltage externally , all the newer ECUs have a resister internally so they only have 4 pins , electronics have come a long way in 40 years , they should be able to make a far better ECU by now but maybe there is not enough market to justify it

I say stick with the 4 pin.  Looks like you have a chrome box or chrome lookalike?  That should be good enough.  There should be a diagram for a 4 pin somewhere on this forum.

Cool I will stick with the 4 pin and get a 2 way ballast resistor. Thanks!
