1974 E-body steering column pieces
« on: November 01, 2011 - 01:38:38 PM »
I am in need of some pieces from a 74 E-body FLOOR SHIFT steering column.  There is a lower bearing retainer, a spring and the bearing.

Let me know if anyone has it available please.

I just went through this too. Nobody offers these components new as it seems to only fit 74 e bodies.
If you want original , there is a shop that has these pieces used but in good condition. I paid
50 bucks for the bearing assy. I've gotta look around for his name and number if you want it.
I assume you don't have bolt holes in the lower column housing? I thought about it after I
got the bearing, you may be able to just drill 2 holes and use the 2 bolt bearing set up. If you need
more info just let me know.

If I cant fix it, it's broke

Sounds good guys.  I'll dig around a bit more.  My 71 does not have the screw holes.  I think the 74 style setup is still the best from what I can research.

Thanks
