its all realitive on what is expensive.  I am from California, and it is cheap to register a car, whether it is a transfer or not, the weather is great, the gas is ok. The electric, water seem to be on the high side and down south the insurance, because of weather are high, so bear that in mind when looking at homes,  As far as events, you will have plenty to choose from - visit flacarshows.com

Welcome!!

Dan,
Things can cost quite a bit more in South Florida than where you are.   It is still cheaper than California.

hehe
I did the garlits show a couple weeks ago in about 45 minutes. Took about 25 pictures and walked around, but Im kind of a whirlwindish type of guy
I'll see all 4000+ cars at daytona this coming weekend in about 3-4 ours max, including a stroll through the swap area. There should be a couple hundred vendors of all types, but mopar stuff is limited.

The garlits show is nice, cause it is all Mopar.  The Rod Run is ieverythign and then some.  if you are looking for something specific, plan on doing a lot of walking and looking at Daytona.  at least with Garlits, if they didn't have what you were looking for right then and there, they might have it at home.  i will say tho, that garlits has tapered off the last few years due to the economy.  it is still a nice mopar only show.  see you all at daytona!!
