Jason, here is the info from the 440source web site.  If my heads will be 82 CC it looks like I would be around 10.4:1 does that sound right?
With the aluminum heads would the actual ratio be around 9.4:1?

Jeff @ modern cylinder is building me a set of the Indy EZ's with max wedge porting and doing porting work.  My question is do I need to buy the Indy cast aluminum valley cover & push rods or can I use my Hughs 2 piece valley cover and the push rods that I used on my Stealth heatds?  Going to a solid flat tappet cam & lifters vs my hydraulic flat tappet cam & lifters.

You most likely can use your valley cover you have but you will have to buy new push rods and lifters to suite the new cam shaft, do you have roller rockers ?

Hey Ken, yes I do have the 440 source roller rockers.  I knew I would need new lifters since I'm switching to solid flat tappet cam.

The push rod length will definitely be different as the lifters are different lengths themselves :2thumbs:

You might want to talk to Modern Cylinder to see what they say about the valley cover.  The EZ heads sit on top of the cast Indy pan and I recommend that you get the one with the removable center on it.

Cool, I'll get a Indy valley cover with removable center ordered.  I take it the Holley street dominator intake won't work with the Indy valley cover cause it wouldn't work with my Hugh's stainless valley cover.  The lower part of the intake needed a factory dished valley cover to work.   I will most likely use my M1 Mopar intake with the Indy heads.  I plan on using my stock Rally hood so I have to really watch the hight of the intake.

What push rods do I need?  The indy ones that you have to cut them to length?  Do you have to weld them together after you cut them to length or do they just push together?  Have not heard from Jeff yet, hopefully he has my heads done soon!

thanks guys! :2thumbs:

Cool, ordered the Indy valley cover with removable center section last night.  Jeff emailed me with tracking number for my new ported Indy EZ's!   :ylsuper:
He said he was going to be ording my comp cam that he spec'd soon so I can get it put back together.  What head gaskets should I use with the Indy heads?

thanks

No.  Can I get that from the specs from 440 source or does it need to be measured? :clueless:

You can use the Street dom manifold on a 400 with EZ heads. I have done the same with the valley cover and removable plate. What you have to do is place the manifold down with no gaskets and some paint on the heads of the removable plate allen head screws. Check where they are and hog out the manifold underneath where the screws interfere. Go easy it takes a while but all you have to do is grind just enough with multiple trial fits. There are about 6 places they interfere.
