Hemi Cuda
« on: November 05, 2011 - 01:06:55 AM »
I am planning on puttin a 528 or a 572 hemi in a 1973 Cuda. I am planning on being around 750- 800 horse when I am done. The rearend will be a 4-link dana 60. I am needing some advice on what i need to put under that motor for a front end to handle that kind of power. I as planning on rebuilding he original K - frame and buying the motor mounts to mount the hemi in the factory K- frame. Will that be enoughto handle the power. Thanks for the help

I guess it depends what you want the car to do , i would set up suspension differently for drag racing than autocross .
the basics are bigger T bars except for drag , 1" or bigger , better shocks , install frame connectors & torque boxes for stiffness , the hemi will bolt to the V8 K frame with mounts no problem

Take pics of how you put the 4 link in. I am thinking of one for my 72 Cuda just waiting for more info on them. I want it to hook up instead of spin.

I used US Car Tool front and rear torque boxes and sub frame connectors. They needed a little fitting but are quality products.
