Dyancorn Fenders - any good?
« on: November 09, 2011 - 04:14:03 PM »
Reached a milestone with the Challenger this summer and all that is left is bolt on sheet metal and paint

So in that vain, I'm getting ready to drop a nice chunk of money on fenders, hood and valances. Big question I have is about the quality of the Dynacorn fenders. I talked to a local distributer (of Chevy parts who sells Dynacorn) - he said the fenders he's sold to his customers have been well received and of comparible quality to Goodmark and AMD.

But that is Chevy stuff - not the new Mopar stuff, has anyone had a chance to use their new repoped Challenger fenders? I'm willing to be the guinee pig, unless someone out there has a horror story - then I might spend the extra $$ and go Goodmark

Any thoughts?

Just so you know...the Goodmark fenders are going to need a good deal of work to fit properly.  The lower body line is off quite a bit on one side...maybe both.  I'd look for reviews on the AMD fenders.  I saw them at the Nat's so I'm pretty sure they are available.

Any extra money you spend up front, I think you'll save in fitment by going with AMD for the fenders.   :2cents:

And I am now 2k poorer - on order

1 Hood & scoop plates
LH Fender
Bumper
Front & rear valance

I actaully ended up going Goodmark - they got good reviews in Mopar Muscle. Hope I don't ahve the body line issue that you mentioned - we'll find out soon!

Marty73, I have a set of hood springs that you can have as long as you pay for shipping. They were on a 73 Cuda with a steel hood. I am putting a Fiberglass hood on my '74 Cuda and do not need the springs. PM me.
