Well, DodgeFreak- getting the new leather stretched to the exact positions is pretty hard.   Took both of us to do it.  The hog rings and pliers takes some strength to get  all the wires crimped just right in the new foam.  Legendary makes the covers so they are an EXACT PERFECT FIT --  that is WHEN you get the leather exactly in place.

about my finger ...      :nono:  yes, its embarrasing to say but I did it to myself....  pulling on the leather with right hand while using my left hand for leverage.  Its hard to describe the amount of force I was using....   try to picture the maximum weight you can lift off the ground with just the tips of your fingers ....   ::)   OK--- then  my right hand slipped and as my right hand instantly passed across  my left hand,  catching my ring finger in the process......

well just snap your finger and it sounded pretty close to that.    :gripe:

sounds pain full,  Some times breaking it feels better (it goes numb) than just hurting it.    have a beer

Thanks NZ.  The shifter is from HARMS automotive.    Flamed Maple Pistol Grip !  And  heavy duty polished stainless steel -- oh yeah!
Here are 4 photo's I took of it up close.
