I've only ever seen a handful of the Mitsubishi designed Challengers.  I think my aunt bought one new though.  I did see one at the Mopar Nationals back when it was held at the IRP.  That's the only one I've ever seen that was in good shape.

A former boss of mine is a huge Ford fanattic.  He had an 88 Murker for awhile.  He said the first year was full of problems that ruined the name.  He said the later models were accually nice cars.  He also had an old Escort wagon so his taste in vehicles is highly suspect.   He accually had a 68 Cougar 302 4-barrel that was his dad's.  I'm sure he still has a 70 Torino Cobra...also his dad's old car.

I had a 1980 Plymouth Sapporo in 80 . Had it for 5 yrs or so and then sold it to my brother-in-law and he put a lot of miles on it. Wish I had it today, Great fuel mileage with the 2600 engine & a 5spd..

I owned a 78 Challenger back in '83. I sold it a year later because it didn't have AC. I liked the car, but no AC was a killer when I worked second shift in the D.C. area. Silver with black stripes, it was appealing to me at least, but when I check E-bay. it seems they are extinct.

I dunno, back then I thought the Mitsubishi Challengers were cool little cars.  Nothing compared to the older originals, but cool in their own right...

A friend of mine down here has an AAR Cuda, a pile of 68,69,70 Chargers and a Mitsubishi Challenger in really good shape. He takes it to shows all the time.

Well, with Hagerty making up the list, there are some cars on there that will probably never have "collector" appeal. Dodge Caravan? Yeah, cuz all the illegal immigrants are still driving them with no insurance.

 One of my brothers owned a 83 challenger back in the mid 90.s.

There was a Merkur at autocross a couple weeks ago. It was surprisingly fast. And I saw a Renault/AMC Alliance on my campus a couple weeks ago.

Some of the econobox cars back then were cool.  I still have a soft spot for Pintos.  My brother had I think an '80, had the rectangular headlights.  It was not a run of the mill Pinto, had the ESS treatment and 6 cylinder, large all glass hatch for that year.  Was bright yellow and the ESS package gave it rally gauges with tach, flat black trim all around and 4 spoke Magnum 500s.  Had wide tires out back.  Cool little car. 

Was nice until an Olds Delta 98 took off the whole drivers side of the car....

I owned a Mercury bobcat with the huge glass hatchback once does that count as a Pinto!! Lasted about a month before I blew it up. A month later I had a Volkswagon Dasher that I blew up, and then a buick electra 225 land yacht I traded in for a reliable ride. I have to say I helped put those cars into the crusher. Never owned a ford or VW that could handle my agressive driving style and I keep up on fluid checks and tune up's. Cars that i have not blown up yet are Mopars, Toyota's, and Chevy's.

My dad had a 70 or a 71 red Pinto hatchback with manual transmission.  He drove that car until rust started to claim it.  He even used to let me and my sister work the shifter while he drove.  When he went to trade it in on a 1984 Cavalier they offered him $75 for it   Poor thing probably ended up going to the scrap heap.  The Cavalier was a complete piece of junk the power steering would cut in and out when the temp dropped under 30 degrees, the brakes were terrible, and every one that either he or his friends owned needed a complete engine swap around 60k miles.

Suprisingly, a lot of pintos live on as race cars. There are becoup amounts of speed parts for the ford 2.3 four banger. The local mini-stock class is probably 95% pintos, 3% mustang 2, and the rest are imports.

For those old enough to remember the V8 vega craze, I was always suprised you didn't see more V8 pintos. A 302 was a bolt in deal with their crossmember design. No cutting, welding , or hacking required.

I am just curious about the 80-90s dodge daytona's as you all are the eyes of the world,how many do you see driving down the road anymore?I only know of one other than my daytona that is still being used and its a loaded up black and gold shelby.I did buy my Iroc R/T as an investment(I have the VIP summary report on it,its 1of17 white R/Ts and #4 down the assembly line)But all of that aside I have had a freakin blast with this little car as its no slouch and is an incredible highway car,enough bragging
So what do you guys see as far as these cars go where you live?
