Just curious how are you masking the paint before shooting primer on the outer body? What about keeping the masking lines from being seen? I have been running through the order to paint a car and I am unsure of where to stop on the inner fender to top of fender. Basically the gaps how are you masking them and not getting a hard paint line? Sorry for the rambling just trying to type what I am thinking

when I painted my Challenger I had the same issue, I had painted the engine compartment and door jambs but when I painted the outer body I got blow through on the gaps and ended up with overspray (primer). In retrospect I "think" I should have used some jamb masking (I have see it from 3M, looks like a foam roll) or perhaps painted the trunk and engine compartment and then masked them off, but primed and painted the jambs in conjunction with the body.
