Vacuum at idle?
« on: November 14, 2011 - 04:52:23 PM »
Is anyone else using Mopar Performance cam#P4452993 Purple Shaft?   If so are you having problem getting good vacuum at idle?  i am only able to get about 10-12in at 900rpm idle.   If this is normal i am going to have to add a vacuum canister for power brakes.  Any thought on those??

I'm running a Comp cams 275DEH with I think 482 lift and have 12 vac at idle with power brakes. No problems with the brakes. What Mopar cam is that? 484. Are you having trouble with your brakes?

12 in should be plenty for brakes.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

Yup, I have that cam and that's about what I get at idle. Can you get your's to idle in gear lower than 1000 rpm?
