Quick stupid question, my daily driver is a 5.7 hemi charger r/t... and its time for new tires. the ones I've always had are the stock 245-45-20s on all 4. I was thinking of getting a different size in the rear, maybe a 255-45-20 in rear and leaving 245-45-20s in front... this would give me an extra 1/2" of width in the rear as well as about a .354 " taller tire.
I know this would probably hurt performance, but would it really? It doesn't seem like that much of a difference height wise and I like the wider tires. The extra width may even actually help with acceleration. Also, I have a pretty manageable tuner that I'm good at using, so I can correct my speedo and ABS brakes very simply adjusting to tire height. Sorry I hope you guys don't mind me posting about this car, I know most Mopar guys hate the new 4 doors. I just don't care enough about it to be active on a modern Mopar site.
What do y'all think?
