Got Busted on the Cellphone today!

O.K. Admit it, you talk on the cell phone while driving once in a while.
I really do try to refrain from doing it.

I haven't upgraded to Bluetooth yet because my contract ends next month.
I will now once I get a new phone.

Anyway, I was going like 25 m.p.h. in town, pulled up to a Stop sign and a Cop on a Bike nailed me at a blind intersection as I pulled up. 

50 Dollar fine first offense I heard a guy tell me.

Here it's a  $150 dollar fine. That's the "easy" part... the insurance companies look at it like careless driving and your insurance goes up X3 so I'm told. The bluetooth works on any phone in case you didn't know? I have one called "Blueant" . It operates my voice commands...even reads texts! Cost me just under $100? I like it, works good for me.

Yeah he gave me a ticket. Along with Insurance papers not up to date. 
I'll make the money back once his P.D. Dept needs Maglite/Streamlight batteries from me.

 A friend of mine just got one while sitting at a RR crossing talking on the phone. Around $200. And the price is suppose to go up as it is a great revenue source.

The ticket itself is indeed $50. The problem is that's not it. You'll also have to pay the court fees, processing fees, county fees etc. Once all that is done, your $50 ticket will probably cost you more like $150....

$25.00 of that was not having my current Insurance paper on board my vehicle.
I paid it off and am looking at buying a new cell phone w/bluetooth before the year ends.

Thats one way to get your money back and then some  So far no laws like that hear in Ohio but its coming. But i do think texting maybe ilegal if ya get caught

Coming soon to a state near you. The feds are looking at an all out cellphone ban while driving, which would apply to all 50 states. At the moment anyway, the proposed changes would be even more strict than California's current laws.

Although I did witness a teen girl texting while driving down a very busy street in traffic flow yesterday!! That is a accident waiting to happen.
