Ok, I tried the rims this morning and I think it worked!  :)

The 10-15 minutes of Dremel tool and filing on the thin ridge metal in the center hole area seems to allow the rim to slip over the nose of the stock hub by over an inch.

From the pictures, one can see the 1 inch long studs are just in the holes of the rim.  That means that if I get a spacer to fix the backspace issue, if I get at least a 1 inch spacer, the rim should clear with no issues...in theory.  It may need a little more filing, we will see once I get some 1" spacers.

The Mach 1 Rim back space is about 5.75" so a 1" spacer will get me to about 4.75" backspace.

Maybe a 1.25" spacer might be better though to get to 4.5".  I'll have to think about it.  I do have a some 1/4" spacers here to play with.  Might actually look better with the 1.25" spacer to push the rim out a little more but I think 1/4" would be hardly visible to the naked eye.

I still have to try to mount the rim in the back to see what sort of clearance I have back there.  Just have to be careful with the fronts, don't want the tire to rub on anything.

On the last picture you can see a pencil mark where the stock hub will now fit up until.  That should give me plenty of room with a spacer on as well.
