    Whats the Depreciation on the 2008 SRT8 and RT Challengers?

    They are 4 years old now, what are they worth in $$$ and as a % of original sticker price? Thanks.

    I can't answer you, but I figured those first 6400 SRT Challengers would hold their value. The SRT's were the only Challengers produced as 2008 models. No RT's.

    Go to edmunds.com and do some research. If you want to buy one to drive, I think they are pretty reasonable used (that's how I got mine) but as an investment it's too soon to tell.

    Would it be 40 to 50 % Depreciation now on a 4 year old Challenger? (10 to 13 % a year?)

    No, Challengers were the vehicle last year to depreciate the least from time of ownership.  If you do a google search, there was a article on it.

    You can get the 08 to 09 SRT's for low 30's right now.

    I think MSRP was about $45K on the SRT, so that would mean about 8-9% per year, but considering most dealers asked $50k or more, and many of them got it, if you paid $50 then youve lost about 40% in 4 years.
    I saw a local dealer today asking over $70k for two of those SMS 570 challengers. Someone will take a hit on those.
    These cars cant be considered investments for now. Talk to me in 20-25 years when youve kept the car original and put less than 50k miles on it, then you might sell it for close to what you paid for it.
