    HOW many rear seat belts are suposed to be in a 70 Challenger?

    We are a family of 5 but I only have 2 sets of rear seat belts so all going out in the Challenger is a problem. Not that the rear has enough room for my 3 boys! :eek4:
    I never noticed but is there supposed to be belts for 3 people in the back?

    We have three kids in the back. Retractable left and right and a lap belt in the middle for the baby seat.
    Used a rear defroster bezel in the shelf.
    No new holes in the shelf.
    Works fine.
    Should add that the trunk part is now finished with a welded piece of sheet metal. Also houses the amp for the rear speakers.

    HA! I'm missing the middle one!  So I've had this car for 3 years now and am just discovering that fact now! :lol:   I must be getting old...don't spend much time in the back seat anymore? :sly:  :biggrin:

    My '73 has only two...

    I tore three  '73's apart to build mine and I don't remember ever seeing three sets of belts. Could be bad memory though..... ::)

    I do know if you like your passengers you won't make them ride over the transmission hump.  There is next to no give in that portion of the seat :)

    Our 73 Challenger and 74 Barracuda both only had two.  I did add a centre lapbelt to the Barracuda when the kids were small so we could all go cruisin.

    Yes 74 definitely only has 2 rear belts...in fact I have my rear seat out right now, and I grabbed a shot from the manual.
