The build date is September of 1970.  I did take care of removingall peices and they are in storage.  It will be a few days until I can get detailed pictures of these items and parts.  My dash has some cracks, i can get detailed pictures of that tomorrow.  AS I will be trailering the car to the shop.

Nice car.

Very unusual to see 70' OEM parts on a 71'. (Your shifter button handle)
Is the center console the type that you put seat belts in on the rear slot?

Hey Mike,

In one of the pictures, you can see the back seat because the front seat is folded forward and you can see the console is a 70 console :2thumbs:

So I have '70's interior in my '71 would the coding be the same for the '71 tan interior?  Or do I possibly have a rarer car?

Very nice find!  Don't kill yourself looking for a build sheet if  the car was put together in L.A (has an "E" in the VIN).  Most people with LA cars don't have build sheets, no matter how hard they look.

It is more likely that the Tan interior was pulled from a 1970 car and used in yours, your car nearly could have had any other color other than Tan or Red for 1971 interior :2thumbs:

Looking at the console and the seats, it is definite 1970 Interior in your car, Mopar would not have used that much 1970 interior parts in your car with the build date you said it is, the more i look, the more i am convinced that someone switched it out, still it should have been a carry over color interior for 1971 as it goes so well with the Orange exterior. :dunno: :2thumbs:

Most likely, but if you find the door decal and pull the backs off the seats, there may be documentation in them, the door sticker will tell you a bit more info too. :2thumbs:

First thing I did when I got her home was dismantle the interior minus the dash, door panels, and headliner.  Removed seat backs and search for a fender tag that was misplaced in the car or the build sheet.  My last hope is the roof mouse penthouse, which will increase my mouse total, or the dash behind or on top of the glove box.  But if it is a 70 interior that just kilked that hope.

Fingers crossed that you find something and can get to the bottom of what your car is for real :2thumbs:
