UPDATE:
Trunk Floor/Bondo board removed, several issues of concern revealed. Car had been hit early in it's life in the right rear quarter and had a fairly crappy patch panel riveted in. So that quarter needs a full replacement, also a main reason for sooo much trunk rot as they cut into the window rail to patch in this panel. Instead of replacing/removing glass it appears they worked around it. The left rear quarter is also pretty cheesy and will need replacement. Unfortunately, I do have some rot in
My rear frame rails... Appears minor but won't know until it's been blasted in a few weeks.
. I expected the quarters but was hoping for the best... Ohh well.
I was able to pull the bend out of my taillight panel, now just need to repair the lower lip rust, eventually. So good news there!
Next steps removing the glass and sending off to the blaster.
EXTRA SPECIAL UPDATE:
Was able to gather a sniper of information from the previous owner. He provided me an email to the owner that he purchased the car from. Several weeks went by without a response, finally got brief responses. I now have confirmation that I am the cars third owner in it's life. I also have glimmer of hope that he has the data tag or fender tag!!!
. He may even have some original paperwork. Won't know anymore until he responds but I am a wee bit excited!!!
Tracked down previous owner prior to the individual I purchased from. He was able to confirm I am the only the third owner in this cars life.
