Does anyone make a good A-Pillar reproduction?
« on: December 07, 2011 - 03:21:22 PM »
I bought a pair a number of years ago and now that I'm going through the build process, I was trying to install them. They don't fit will around the dash, the lower screw hole was at least 1" too high, the upper ends don't really fit well and need to be squeezed into place and held with the windshield or side window trim/screw. There was also a fair amount of trimming needed to get it to be reasonable. Does anyone make one that actually fits? Is there only one manufacturer?

None that I know of.  I've heard the Palco's don't fit and the grain is way off.  Nice originals is the way to go.  They can be painted with SEM paint to look new.  Be aware that there were a few differences over the years.  The location and number of screw holes changed.
