« on: December 07, 2011 - 09:55:35 PM »
I have a real stupid ? I bought a new headliner and I see in all the catalogs like yo listings for sail panels. I dont remember taking anything but a cloth headliner out of my car (challenger). What exactly is the sail panel and do I need a covered one or uncovered. Thanks

Challengers had a cardboard backing in the sail panel area but no visible one that I'm aware of. I never bought replacements when I replaced my headliner. Didn't see the need.

1970 had a cardboard piece behind the headliner between the quarter glass and the rear window.  By 73, they didn't use them anymore.  I don't know exactly what year they stopped using them.
