    Finally found my broadcast sheet

    I thought I would never see my broadcast sheet for my '70 RT/SE Challenger.  The mice had gotten to the one in the backseat and there wasn’t even a trace of one around the glove box.  But after reading some of the post here, I decided to check inside the front passenger seats.  Behold after taking the back off the seat there is was.  I took my newfound piece of treasure and started to decode it.  But the codes were not matching up to the options I knew that I had.  After looking closer at the broadcast sheet I noticed that they used a 1969 broadcast sheet, but printed all the numbers using the 1970 format.  Luckily I had a 1970 broadcast sheet to transfer the numbers and find the correct options. 

    Any one know what G06 and G51 options are?

    I'd say a 69 broadcast sheet on a 70 was a rare option.  :beer:

    I can't find G06 and G51 in any of my decode books....are you sure thats what they are?

    did they put sheets in the early plastic back seats only or did they put them in the later years Also. ?

    Cool.  :thumbs:

    For some reason Hamtramck used up some 1969  broadcast sheet blanks during the 1970 model year, they are fairly common for cars built the first three months or so. They are hard to figure out sometimes.

    G51 is most likely H51 - AC.  Can you take a close up photo of that part of the sheet? That would help to figure out what G06 may be.

    Did you check the other bucket seat too? There may be a sheet in it for a different car.  :wave:



    For 1972 up cars, if there is a broadcast sheet in one of the bucket seats, it is usually in the base, not in the backs.

    I haven't checked the other seat yet, but plan too.  The broadcast sheet has a H51 code listed on it, the G51 & G06 could be something else.  I will try and get a picture of the broadcast sheet this weekend and post it.  Thanks for the help.

    IMO the G code will be something for the A/C like a rear window defroster, or some electric fogger etc.
    That and most of the G codes are glass related, mirrors, clear glass with or without tint or A/C to all windows heaps of possiblities.  :ack:

    I had to dig into my sheet stash, but I think I figured it out. By comparing a 1969 revision sheet to an early 1970 revision sheet G51 would actually be in the place of G41 on the '70 sheet. G41 is the Prismatic rear view mirror.

    G06 would actually be F96. F96 is the oil pressure guage.

    Here are pics of my broadcast sheets.  I have pasted the 1969 sheet with a 1970 sheet for easy comparsion.  The first pick shows how they printed the 1969 sheet with the 1970 format for the text (see how trim code is messed up).  The 2nd pic is the G codes and the 3rd pic is the J codes.  Any help decoding these would help.

    Cool. Based on your photos I was correct for the G and F codes.  :beer:

    For the J codes your car is coded J11 J15 J21 J25 and J31.

    The 1970 sheet you show is the second revision, the 1st 1970 Sheet is blue and white like the 1969 sheets, the later revison is multi-colored.
