Freakride Suspensions

Anyone had any experience with these systems?  I'm thinking of going with the front suspension system and the rear 4-link on my 70 383 RT convertible to bring the handling up to date.  It is a numbers matching car but not a Hemi so I'm not too concerned about the upgrade and it hurting the car's originality.  Any comments welcome.

Story goes that Bill Reilly and RMS was contracted to install suspension systems under the Mr. Norm Darts. Partway through the effort, contract is cancelled. Months later cars show up with Freak Ride systems, a company which never existed before the Mr Norm Darts arrived.

Seems to work fine for me. Must be that backwoods connection 

They list a phone number on their site too, could always call them

I thought the round tubing would look a lot better, but really, I don't think its a huge improvement. Nothing else on the car is round, the square tubing blends in better I think...

I have never driven in a car with the freak ride but there is a guy who I bought parts from who's a distributor.  When I was at his shop he had about 4 chally's and cuda's with them installed, He installed other's on car's that are on the road and he said the owners love them.

Looking at both in pictures I can't say I'd have much faith in the strenght of the shock tower in the freakride system? looks like it would twist/bend like a pretzel!
RMS looks MUCH stronger to me?

Ya, I wouldn't trust their front suspension, but their rear suspensions look interesting.  They look like they'd offer more leaf spring clearance than RMS' Lynx setup.

I agree that the rear setup looks better than the RMS Lynx, But I was able to order the Lynx without the U-Bolt mounts and get a total weld in setup. Slightly less expensive than the U-Bolt getup and VERY clean looking. Bill Reilly is awesome to work with! I think the RMS front looks much stronger than the freak ride.

Did you also fit that rear w/a Dr. Diff relocation?  Wondering if it's compatible with that to get more room for tire/trailer arm clearance.

The lower arm mount puts the arm past the stock inner wheelwell. A guy could relocate the forward lower arm mount if he wanted to use wheel tubs, or mini tubs.

Yes it looks pretty cool.  I have seen it setup on another Challenger. The upper shock mounts look just as strong as the RMS kit.
