DON'T USE UPS TO SHIP TO CANADA FROM THE USA !!!!!! GRRRRRRR

Just a warning to all that don't know about UPS's little extortion scheme! I've known for a long time and avoid them like the plauge . I bought a rear main seal kit from Mancini for $70 and a distributor bushing. I was charged $20 shipping which is ok I don't have a problem with that. When it showed up at my door they nailed me another $49 and change!   " brokerage fee's" they call it! This is the 3rd time in like 10 years I've used them, and hopefully the last!
 I asked to have it shipped via USPS but it never happened.
Man how I hate UPS!
"What can brown do for you?"   NOTHING!  but take a long walk off a short pier!

moral of the story? DON'T SHIP FROM THE USA TO CANADA WITH ANYTHING OTHER THAN USPS!

  I bought something from a guy in Canada and paid a reasonable amount for shipping.

All was fine until the end of the month when UPS sent me a bill for another $20 for bullsh!t fees.

I got slammed hard by the brown truck guys for the crossram when I had it shipped from canada to the US and now I ship nothing thru them!anything I ship goes thru the USPS.

This is why I have an address in Niagara Falls NY.
I hate that they have no continuity on there charges.
I learned my lesson on some bushings I ordered from Manchini's that were maybe $20.00 dollars, shipping was $10.00 brokerage was $68.00.
Man I was pissed.
I ordered headers just before that from Manchini's, shipping was more but the brokerage was only $30.00, so that led me to think the cheaper smaller package would have less brokerage.
I was wrong on that ASSumption.

That is called CUSTOMS FEE's not brokerage fee's.
Mancini probably has UPS fill out the custom's forms. Ups does not get your $49 bucks. Every country has customs. Don't blame UPS.
UPS has nothing to do with it. Try sending to ASIA     Ask Dutch or one of the other members what they pay...
U were trying to get around Canada money exchange rate to purchase the parts in a other thread........ Bend over u be in a International Scam. not a ups extortion scheme.
 Sometimes when my wife sells something on ebay to a buyer in Canada we
send it as a gift to the buyer,  they do not pay for the value of the merchandise.That gets u around the Customs Fee.
I retired from UPS 13 yrs. They have there faults.
