CCW Permit
« on: December 16, 2011 - 11:36:03 PM »
I'm just curious, does anyone here have a concealed carry permit? The law was recently passed here, looks like the last state without it is obama land...

I do, here in NY. Carry a glock .45. permit is not cheap and takes anywhere from 6 to 12 months to get approved. I believe our county has about 1200 permits waiting approval.

Approved to carry in 21 states.  I take great pride in our ability carry and protect yourself.   18 years of carrying and never have I had to use it.  I even had a guy pull a gun on me and I was smart enough to talk my way out.  DO NOT USE IT UNLESS YOUR LIFE IS IN DANGER and it's a last resort.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Didn't a law just pass in congress that just expanded the CCW rights. I don,t feel they were expanded just loosened some of the unconstitutional bindings that was placed on the 2nd Ammendment right. Politicals like to pass and enforce unconstitutional laws,.. and those laws stay until someone gets the gumption to challenge the law in court!! The It's back to the founding way. Just wish ALL ABLE BODIED MEN / WOMEN,       ( MILITIA ) were trained through a training system on how to take part in the defense of this land effectively. Like Fast and furious was just a scam by Drama masters to get gun sellers restriced from selling multiple firearms in a short time period and it ended up getting countless and will continue to get countless killed.

Remenber the more Liberal the area you are carrying in , ( if you had to defend your life and take a life ) the more days you will spend in jail while your lawyer fights to get you out for defending yourself. Hope it don't go to the 9th Circus of APPEALS  :poopoke: or it will go all the way to the supreme court.

Been really thinking about a kimber .45 one of the neighbor friends has one and I have been trying to get him to sell it to me. They are a little more nimble and not as bulky as my Desert eagle .44. I finally found the desert eagle holster with the logo on it at the gun show and have a lanyard I can attach to it.  No sense in concealing the desert eagle as it is so big people will know your packin or think your a long lost relative of the hunchback of notre dame.

I have LTCs in my home state of MA, plus NH, ME, CT and NY, I stupidly let the PA and RI permits expire. Also an 03 CCL license.
The bill to give reciprocity to all who have LTCs passed the House but will die in the Socialist-Democratic Senate. Even my Tea Party supported Senator Scott Brown has said he will vote against it, probably due to the fact he will face uber socialist Liz Warren (who takes full credit for the "occupy" movements) in next years election.

Even if this bill passed the Senate, the chances of Odummer signing it are somewhere between zero and minus two percent given the recent debacle of his ATF and AG arming the mexican drug lords and using those guns to kill our law enforcement officers and civilians. In Obummer land, its OK to arm drug cartels, its not OK to allow law abiding citizens to defend themselves.

I can see 2012 from here...

If anyone sees a thigh holster for Ma Duece, let me know.    :roflsmiley:

When I was a civilian, military and police firearms instructor I always got asked "what gun should I carry". Best default answer was "the gun you'll practice with". In actuality, if you can carry the same gun(caliber)/loaded with the same ammo of your local constabulary, it will be one less item the prosecution can use against you.  For instance:  "Mr. Smith, can you please explain to the jury why you NEEDED to carry a .45 when your local police department carries only a 9mm. What's the matter Mr. Smith, the 9mm wasn't DEADLY enough for you?"  That's a true story....

Well the pintle holster has a adjustable spring but you may want to mount it to a vehicle unless you have one of those hip support like in the movie Aliens or Nemesis. :roflsmiley:

And you should.  :2thumbs: Don't give an inch when it comes to gun ownership rights. Look what has happened to us up in Canada. Interesting little bit of trivia though. We can take a course locally, that allows us to carry when in the USA(maybe just Minnesota-I'm not sure). But when we return to Canada, we are not allowed to carry and have to keep them locked up. Make sense?
