Old southern PA junkyard POSSIBLY closing
« on: December 17, 2011 - 09:35:26 AM »

I say possibly b/c its not on paper, but the owner is said to have a buyer.

This saturday and next week are the last days open this year and possibly forever.

Many people know about it as a great secret stash but i am sure there are others that don't.

Lots of 66-69 B-bodies, some 64/65, 72-78 trucks, 69-71 Sea bodies, only 4 Sweptline trucks. Most things are rotted but i always leave with something. the first school bus on your right is full of Mopar stuff and some NOS that my uncle Ralph used to own before he passed away. I found a 57 DeSoto NOS Carter fuel pump in there today but didnt need it. Not sure what else it fits, just what it said on the box.

I wish it were closer. I'd go for the afternoon just to ook around. These places are all going away (with the exception of spots like DVAP). I know my similar pot here is gonna go ssoon, I know Hank wants to retire, he always asks if I wanna buy it.  :grinno: I got enough goin on with my own. I'm sure in Hanks case the land is worth more than the business.
70 Chally R/T Convertible- Yes she's really got a HEMI, no she's not a Charger!

Is "Hank" where you got my spindles from? Just curious?

Yessir Brad, thats where they were.  :2thumbs: Its kind of a double edge sword. Lots of acres, but not lots of sales. There's another yard within a few miles and a BIG late model yard within 10 miles. Hank does not ship nor does he have computers. You cant compete in todays market like that. Also not a BIG popuation in the area there. It take a gazillion dollas to get things going there business wise. Its too bad....

Sweet! If he closes I might get another set for a spare. I can mill a set for you if you want?
