1990 dodge Van question
« on: December 21, 2011 - 02:37:03 PM »
hey guys,

my buddy has a chevy Van but wants to get rid of it.  He looked at a dodge  (globemaster) today and liked it, so he asked me to come along check it out next week.  I`ve had some of the older vans but nothing close to 1990.  According to seller it`s got a 230 hp 318....  :woo: :violin:
how nice are these engines really? I read about heads that were used for only one year...  :clueless:  wondering what`s up with that...
what kinda power do they make?  He`s got a 305 now.... man is that thing slow  :P    I know it wont burn any rubber but are they any good?  My friend is a wood carver and has his van stuffed with chainsaws and other woodwurm junk, and often tows a 4000# trailer.

the 90 was mid production for the 302/308 high swirl heads with rocker shaft system just before they went to the ball stud magnum engines , probably my favorite heads to use on an LA small block , should make great power & milage
