No, what's insane is the 10 day auction is less than a day old, and the reserve has already been met. :eekbig: :eekbig: :eekbig: Where on earth is this going??? That's crazy. This guy(the buyer) is a moron.

OK its stuff like this that makes me want to give up and restore a 60s mustang.  JKJK, but still this is just getting too rediculous.  Is the A and B body stuff going this cray?
Too many projects and nothing gets done.

Not much A bod stuff going this expensive..a  Shark tooth grill out of a 70 duster i've seen up to 300 bucks and 70 duster tail lights going for 120 bucks but thats about it...oh wait...the nos tail panel and rear quarters all went for about 400 bucks apiece...i seen..thats about it though..
74 Plymouth Duster- restoring

77 Dodge D150 shortbox- as long as i don't change my mind will be a step side dually diesel or a 383 powered truck

Duster sharkstooth grilles are for 71-72 Dusters, and I've seen a NOS one go for over $500 on e-Bay, but compared to a 71 Cuda grille, thats a STEAL! The production numbers of A bodies will always make the parts for them more affordable than E bodies, just the law of supply and demand. Just seems to me that the % of rise in car and parts values for e bodies has really accelerated in the last year or so.

These E-bay prices are outrageous! you know that and I know that. If we keep paying attention to these idiots that are raising the roof on prices, it certainly won't help anyone here in them getting their prices back in line. But by now it's already too late for this to stop. this reminds me of OPEC. Can we drop the bomb on these people with low bids? Unlikely! But at least if we stay away from this money mauling,  at least we could single out the super rich that are creating this fiasco. Bottom line watch who is dumping the $ and blow the whistle. E-mails (if possible) can send a message that you aren't somebody we wish to deal with at the next mopar show. Any other ideas to slow these flagrant money mopar wanna bes that are out to capitalize our interests is well heard!!!

ALong with the fact that E bodies are much cooler and more desireable than A bodies, even though i like A bodies and will probably get a dart sometime in the near future.Which would you rather restore?

 :iagree:

Lets see, i've owned 86 Mopars...and out of that total 7 of them have been A bodies, with at least 40 of them being E bodies. My first car was a slant 6 auto B-cuda Gran coupe. I guess that makes me a E body kind of guy! I just wish the prices for them and their parts would be a little cheaper so i coud keep more of them! I hope all these investor types find something else to put their money into, so I can indulge my obcession more!

Hemi71 I bet you've owned some pretty sweet cars ! With owning that many cars do you ever sit around and all of a sudden remember owing something you completely forgot about. I sure I know I would. :dogpile:

I've posted some of my e-body pics on here before...I might have pics of probably 2/3 of the cars I've owned..the early ones i did not take pics of, was not into cameras then. My wife keeps the count, sort of uses it for leverage when she wants something!  A very effective strategy I have to admit.  LOL

Some of the more intresting ones...several v code e-bodies, several hemi roadrunners, a superbird, Challenger r/t droptop, Cuda droptop, lots of 318 e-bodies and 383 b bodies. Also have had some FWD shelby cars, including GLHS's.

The worn out, 35 year old, used, crusty parts on my car, are starting to look a lot nicer right now.  I would like to have new stuff, but with the prices rising like this, I'd rather spend the money on tools & equipment to refinish the old parts. I bet for the price of some things, you could buy whatever equipment & supplies you'd need to refinish a used part, & have money leftover for a night out.
