Glad you made it out safe.  If you get a gun, really learn how to use it.  Take classes that police officers take.

I am seriously considering getting a handgun and I think if I had one, I probably would of used it after they tried to run me off the road.

This would not be what to do.  You could have made things a lot worse.

This is a property that is being targeted by the US Marshal for seizure. Great care and diligence must be
taken to remain unobtrusive and inconspicuous in completing this assignment to ensure the pending case is
not jeopardized and to ensure the safety of the broker. Do not make contact with any occupants or
neighbors.

Very respectfully, the next time you get comms like this, pass the house onto the "new guy"....
The persuers were probably on the drug dealers' payroll, thinking you were the federales.

In temporary lieu of a handgun, consider this... a few days with Tony Scotti is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

This is certainly why realtors (especially the gals) need to take extra percautions as you just don't know what kind of trouble is lurking with homes in foreclosure.  Both lenders & borrowers are taking a loss and there are crooks eyeing the situation in order to try and take advantage, so a word to the wise is cover yourself.  As noted, incorrect use of a gun could put you behind bars for a long time with attorney bills that will disolve your funds including the Cuda.

Surrounded by 20 muscled up cuda and challengers would have been intimidating at best.

Yikes, Dave! :eek7:  That's certainly something that sounds like it could have nasty repercussions for you, especially if they got your license plate & have any shady acquaintances at their disposal. :(  Hopefully nothing happens from all of this, but it's hard to say judging by your recollection of what they were willing to do to you while in pursuit.  Stay safe, buddy!!  Perhaps you should invest in a couple tactical knives to keep in your car along with a .40, .357, or .44 by your bedside.  That's quite the assignment to be given, let alone being chased afterwards!!

If a Police officer or soldier can open up on a car that is coming to ram them!!! He would be justified as a motor vehicle used for assault against him is assault with a deadly weapon. Getting run off the road at high speed is very dangerous. I am sure his pucker factor went up and there were many persuants. I suspect the neighbors tipped him off as the Marshall report warned. Chrycho is right a telephoto lens may be the next best approach if you get another Marshall warning. Stack the beer bottle on the door knob warns good. Jamb the garage door rails with a screwdriver or padlock. Lay low for a few and if you venture out use alternate transportation.

They obviously knew there was danger involved. Why send a broker? Why not send a plainclothes from the Marshal's office? An officer has some training for situations turning sour where the average broker wouldn't.  :2cents:

What I meant when I said this was use it to scare them away.  I certainly would not want to shoot anyone and would not unless it was a last resort and my life was in serious danger.

So here I am laying in bed and cannot sleep cause I can't stop thinking about what I could of done better?  Once I lost the Lincoln SUV and the car started to chase me, I should of considered some rougher roads.  Working against me was the car had flashing headlights like the cops have.  So once I got a car between us to maybe use as a blocker, the following car would make his lights flash and the car would get out of the way.

:22yikes:   :22yikes:   Wow!  4C, you are a realtor, not a double naught spy.  I am very glad you made it out of the immediate situation.  Now it is time for the extra diligence and situational awareness for a while. Take different routes to your routine destinations. Install cameras/security in your home. Get a big dog and some weapons. Go to the range and get comnfortable using them. Be careful my friend. Just let us know if you need the C-C.Com mafia to pay them a little visit.......

Oh yeah, one more thing.  I would try and get more information about that whole deal from someone in the know. Information can help a whole lot. Find out who wrote the warning paragragh in your packet and get with them and track these a$$holes down....    :rebel:

You need one of those James Bond 007 "rotating licence plates" mechanisms!

Sound like an episode of Americas Most Wanted and No Country for Old Men.

Stay safe and stay clear of that house unless you have an Abrams Tank! Let someone else be  the hero for the foreclosure.

I know who wrote the paragraph and this is not the first assignment I have had like this.  Probably done 6 or so of these exact assignments.  And I know who the people are in the home as I looked them up in the tax records.  The police told me they claimed to be attorneys and the name on the home is an attorney down towards Detroit.   I'm just going to sit back and watch the home and wait for the US Marshall  to seize it.  I just wonder what they did to have the US marshall after them?  Not a typical foreclosure like I usually work with . . .

In the mean time . . I am staying alert.   My father called me today and said he would go and get a CWP with me if I wanted.  And I already have a huge dog . . . lol
