Flowmaster or Tti exhaust?
« on: December 27, 2011 - 08:15:46 AM »
I am looking for opinions on which full exhaust to go with for my challenger. I have a 416 that I put tti headers on and I know I am going with 3 inch pipe. If I run tti brand from mancini I will put flowmaster mufflers on as I like the sound. I guess my main question is which one is easier to install and has the best fit. Price wise looks like tti is about $100 or so more. Thanks

Last I checked, TTI came with Dynomax which sound way better to me. Flowmasters drone really loud. Its probably about sound more or less.

I know people either love or hate flowmasters, I  really like them but would like to hear the dynomax. Yes the tti does come with whatever muffler you want if you order from mancini. I really thought these were the best choices chryco but I am open to other's if you have any. Thanks

I like tti too. We just put Flowmaster tailpipes on our B body and they fit absolutely perfect. No hassles. Nice clean bends. Everyone likes my blown out old flow 40 muffs. They drone. But sound like a jet plane at 3500 in 3rd.  I'm over em'   Borla makes good stuff too. Nothin' wrong with TTI.... Go x pipe too.    :grinyes:

The fit of TTI's really can't be beat.  Done several of them and they are the easiest to install and have required no modifications.  Well worth the extra $100

TTI will give you the best fit for the exhaust system from front to back, but the muffler choice is purely up to you.  You will see every single manufacturer praised/slammed for the sound, depending on who you ask.  You need to hear them yourself to decide.  Personally I have the Flowmaster Super 40s and would not change them for the world, but Billy Bod down the street will say the same thing about Dynomax, etc etc..

I did the tti with flowmaster and it went great, I love it. Install was fairly easy except it didn't come with the hangers that bolt in rear seat area but I can figure something out for that. Anyone have any suggestions for stock looking tips with 3 inch pipe. I know tti has them but I just can't justify 400 for tips. Classic sells them for around 250, just looking for other options. Thanks
