What's up with some of these Craigs list ads. I am always looking at the muscle cars and can't help but notice the dialog being used like "I don't have to sell this car" or "buy this before I change my mind" or "the wheels don't go with the car" or my all time favorite "If this car doesn't sell by this date, the price goes up"

Craigslist has definitely opened up a new market for selling items
Since it is free, and easy to work with. There are lots of folks who have poor negotiation skills, poor bank accounts and poor judgment on how to get folks to purchase their stuff.

I see most of those phrases as just simply trying to tickle my check book into sending them money.

Although, those guys who say the price is going up are crazy.  Why would I pay more in a week for the same thing?

There are some crazies though for sure.

One of my all time favorites is "the car ran when parked twenty years ago" 

If so, why did you park it?  and do you really think its going to run perfect twenty years later?

I love the guys who have a firm price for twice what it is actually worth and threaten if it doesn`t sell for the full amount it`ll get crushed(for 1/10 of the amount).

I see what is being said but it also goes the other way if you sell on there,I never met so many low ball shmucks in my life.I am pretty close now to just saying the heck with selling stuff and go back to just being a hoarder again roflsmiley:Oh ya I am a mopar hoarder

My only experience was a couple of years ago when I sold my old furniture. It was in great shape, I asked far less than it was worth, because I just wanted it gone. So I had two buyers for it all.............

The first was a woman that spoke fluent English. The next day at pick up, she informed me her other half that only spoke Spanish would be picking up the furniture. Just imagine how awkward that was.   

The second woman expected me to move it all out to her truck. I did, but come on now!!

Its funny being a foreigner..I dont understand I sent a mate of mine around [he lives in Garden grove CA, went to Santa Ana ] to have a look at an El Camino for me from Graigs ..The guys said to him " it had a rebuilt motor 100,000 miles ago" ......What the ....?

I thought of another one. "This is the last time this will be for sale. If it doesn't sell, it's going back into my collection"

I figure craigslist is a cross section of the buying public in general, so you will run in to the occasional good guy, the occasional I got money and I'm full of myself guy,  about 5 well inention guys who are without a clue, and at least 3 morons, and a half dozen cheapskates who are just plain bung holes.

Sad thing is these people are reproducing and voting.

I'm with ya Doug on the "low-ball".  People see stuff on Craigs or our facebook page and thinks its dam near free half the time. We've been doing lots more Craigs since EBAY has really turned to S#!T. But the most annoying IMO is getting posts flagged for no good reason. I do know competitors and jerk-offs do this but its a BIG PITA nontheless.

there are less and less good guys out there. you can find good deals but alot of scams.they are funny in their adds no dought.
